Clarksville, NH is located along the proposed route for the Northern Pass (NPT) line, the transmission line in Clarksville will be:

  • Constructed in new rights-of-way
  • 2.3 miles of overhead
  • +/- 320 kV DC (direct current)
  • Two portions of the new transmission line will be underground
  • A portion of the new transmission line will be undergrounded in the vicinity of the Route 3 crossing into Clarksville. The total length of this underground portion between both communities is 3,700 feet
  • The second portion will be approximately 1.4 miles and will be built in municipal and state highway corridors where the new transmission line enters Stewartstown
