Jobs

Committed to Local Jobs

More than 1,200 jobs will be created in New Hampshire over the project’s construction phase. Preference will be given to local labor. The Northern Pass project will also provide a boost to such New Hampshire businesses as suppliers, restaurants, and lodging.

Powering New Hampshire’s Economy

Access to clean, low-cost energy is a vital component of New Hampshire’s continued economic growth. The Northern Pass project will be a major source of competitively priced power, which will benefit homes and businesses from Coos County to southern New Hampshire.

Partnering to Support Strong Communities

The Northern Pass project will infuse approximately $28 million per year of new tax revenue into New Hampshire’s state and local tax base. These funds will provide much needed support for local government, infrastructure, and public schools, and will cut property tax bills for families and businesses.

The Northern Pass transmission project is currently in the permitting and siting stage. Once this process is complete and the project is approved, hundreds of jobs in a variety of fields will be available to local New Hampshire residents over the project's construction phase.
